So it’s been two years since the reboot now, and giving up all the DCnU books over the past year has been one of the happiest decisions of my comic book reading life. No more stomachaches on a weekly basis and I still have tons of old trades to read so it’s not like I gave up my favorite characters altogether.
And I have to admit…as a human being who tries to be decent, I still get pissed at all the bullshit DC still pulls (oh btw, nice way to celebrate your second DCnU anniversary, DiDio, you are my hero…which probably means that your personal life sucks, but what can you do), but, as a fan…it’s so liberating to say that I don’t care. Damian’s death didn’t affect me at all. Now I hear rumors about Dick, and I don’t care. They can do whatever they want. This version of the characters is not what I grew up with. The DCU is done and gone. It’s a long epic that reached its ending and the DCnU is in no way, shape or form a continuation of that, so I really don’t care. Go on, DC, keep destroying everything people love. I enjoy watching you make a fool of yourself every other day.
And those were my yearly 2 cents on the DC reboot.
I’m kind of shipping Jay + Zinda
A scratch built Green Lantern Ch’p figurine made in scale with the Eaglemoss DC Super Hero collection. It’s about 1.2 inches tall. It’s made entirely of Milliput and Magic Sculp and painted with Citadel colors.
The Lantern he is holding is not sculpted, it comes from another GL figurine.
The last picture shows how I’m displaying him in my collection - on the same base of Eaglemoss’ mega figurine Kilowog.
