Today someone asked me…

…what my favorite musical theater lyrics were.

Took me a while to narrow them down to 6:

Somebody let me come through, I’ll always be there, as frightened as you, to help us survive being alive." - Company

So we drive ourselves insane, spinning circles in our souls, as we dance around and play pretend. And once again, reprise our roles." - Bare: A Pop Opera

The opposite of war isn’t peace, it’s creation." - Rent

But there’s nowhere to hide from these bones from my mind, it’s broken inside, I’m a man and a child. I’m at home with a ghost who got left in the cold, who knocks at my peace with no keys to my soul." - Spring Awakening

I fashion my future on films in space." - Hair

White. A blank page of canvas. His favorite. So many possibilities." - Sunday in the Park with George

So, what are your favorites?

So much love in his words. Forever with his colors. How George looks, he can look forever. What does he see? His eyes, so dark and shiny, so careful, so exact.

That performance is breathtaking. Can they do a revival of the show? Together? They sound better than they did in the 70’s and look just as good and the chemistry is still incredible.
